Victoria Hospital is a teaching institution that’s well known for its excellence. As a district hospital it offers students and interns a perfect balance of expert supervision and hands on clinical training.

For several years we have been sending Teddy Bears to the children’s unit at Victoria Hospital.  Large Teddy Bears sit on beds in the assessment department so that children can hug a soft Teddy Bear while they are being examined.

Teddy Bears often wearing knitted jumpers are left with staff who decide when a child needs a Teddy Bear to hug. Sometimes the jumper is worn by the baby to keep them warm.

The little girl obviously enjoys holding her new blue friend who is actually wearing a hand designed T shirt made especially for Teddy Trust. The Teddy Bears on the bench behind her are wearing crochet jumpers made by girls from Borlase Grammar school as part of the Duke of Edinburgh award
