Volunter with the Teddy Trust
Our volunteers work tirelessly and with huge commitment to the Teddy Trust in sorting, packing and sending out teddy bears to children around the world who so desperately need the comfort that a soft, cuddly and benign teddy bear can bring.
Volunteers are very important to the success of the Teddy Trust. Without our volunteers the throughput of teddy bears would be greatly diminished.
At present, volunteers at the Teddy Trust contribute the following:
- Collection of teddy bears from delivery locations
- Sorting teddy bears
- Packing teddy bears
- Packing palettes for dispatch
- Packing containers for dispatch
- Organising fundraising events
- Creating publicity materials
- Administration of cash flow, budget and preparation of reports for Trustees
WHAT IT MEANS TO US
Each week brings us enormous joy at the love and compassion that comes with each teddy bear you so kindly send us, as you can see from the faces of some of our volunteers.
In the photos you will notice Celia who can’t resist a cuddle with one of the teddy bears before packing it away to be shipped out. And Gill, who had been away, and dived into teddy bear heaven when she got back. Please do get in touch if you would like to volunteer.
