‘A Teddy Bear Picnic with a difference’
The Teddy Trust has had the privilege of being the International Charity for Inner Wheel District 12 this year. District 12 covers all of Kent, part of East Sussex and some London Boroughs. ( https://innerwheel.co.uk/district-12/ )
On 14th November over 150 members from the 17 clubs in District 12, gathered for a celebration ‘ A Teddy Bear Picnic’ in Ditton, near Maidstone. Some members had travelled a long way such as from Dover, Margate or Eastbourne.
Each club had been busy collecting Teddy Bears and knitting for several months to bring to the event. A chance to learn more about the Teddy Trust and enjoy each other’s company.
The Teddy Trust is extremely grateful for the 700 Teddy Bears donated and the money raised to pay for these lovely Teddy Bears to be transported overseas to bring comfort to traumatised children living in conflict situations.
