During the first week in November a further 346 Teddy Bears left Leominster to start the journey to Cape Town aboard a container ship.  These Teddy Bears might actually catch our last shipment sent a while ago, as it encountered poor weather in transit. Heavy storms along the West African coast have meant that the ship is behind schedule and therefore encountered a queue at Cape Town to dock.

The current shipment of Teddy Bears includes 6 very big bears which are used in some of the health clinics to explain to a child where the injection will take place. Demonstrating with a Teddy Bear often reassures a timid child so that they accept treatment with less fear.

By special request we have also included a few soft cuddly lions and monkeys within the boxes.

We were able to send one box with lots of Teddy Bears wearing their new jumpers. Thank you to our knitters
