Teddy Trust volunteers attended this event to talk about the Teddy Trust, and collect Teddy Bears.

The event was well attended with many children bringing Teddy Bears and other soft toys to share a picnic on the grass. There was a large space for families to have picnics and lots of entertainment including Bouncy castle, face painting, flying paper aeroplanes, making balloons into animal shapes and games with cones. The area was fenced in and included toilet facilities so was safe.  All the cars were parked in a separate area.  Shobdon Aero Club already have a cafe so it did a good trade in serving hot drinks and ice cream.

Teddy Trust stall had a Big Teddy Bear (now named Bert by one of the children, as part of a game) and Baloo sitting at each side of the stand with the orange banner erected behind.  Happy children were getting stickers, donating Teddy Bears, or guessing the name of Big Ted.

We had lots of interesting chats, accepting Teddy Bears and a few cuddly rabbits, encouraging further donations, and judging a colouring competition. Unfortunately, it was blowy so we could not put the Teddy Bears on the plane wing as planned. It was also cold so some of the volunteers put on jumpers

Small aeroplanes and helicopters were taking off and landing, and a military helicopter showing how to hover with precision, so lots for people to watch.

We look forward to hearing from some of the people who came to chat and welcoming more children and Teddy Bears to the event next year.
