The annual event was well attended with many children bringing Teddy Bears and other soft toys to share a picnic on the grass. There was a large space for families to have picnics and lots of entertainment including Bouncy castle, face painting, making balloons into animal shapes and games with cones. The area was fenced in and included toilet facilities so was safe.  All the cars were parked in a separate area.  Shobdon Aero Club already have a cafe so it did a good trade in serving hot drinks and ice cream.

At the Teddy Trust stall happy children were donating Teddy Bears, getting stickers, or taking part in the games. Adults were given a leaflet encouraged to look on the website or Facebook to find further information.

Games included –

  • Who is the most cuddly of them all?

  • Guess the name of the Big Teddy Bear?

  • And toss a bean bag Teddy Bear

We had lots of interesting chats, accepting Teddy Bears and encouraging further donations,

Small aeroplanes were taking off and landing, some owners were offering guided tours of their planes, and paragliding, so lots for people to watch.

We look forward to hearing from some of the people who came to chat and welcoming more children and Teddy Bears to the event next year.
